As a very young webblog we’ll try to give the best of ourselves in serving you the freshest news in the Zune Nation the upcoming year. We currently consist of three bloggers, Karel Sirks was the latest one to join. So beside Klaas Op De Beéck and me, he will also help our site to grow.

Someone had to be the first and in this case that honour goes to MSI. The company might be known to you as a PC manufacturer, but apparently it has also some skills in copying someone else’s design. It’s pretty obvious that the designers of this MT-V660 were inspired by the good looks of the Zune HD.
But hey, Microsoft, take it as a compliment…
Where most of us probably all have heard that Microsoft has launched its twitter app for the Zune HD. Not merely that many people however are aware that the app automatically censored all incoming and out going messages. This obviously caused a real storm through the land of Zune-news, and many bloggers and commenters were furious. Luckily this did not remained ignored by the Zune-team, as a Microsoft spokesperson told Gizmodo this:
“The recently released Twitter for Zune HD application has been abbreviating some explicit words in tweets when viewed on the device; however these explicit words do appear in their full text on the Twitter site or on any other Twitter client. We have identified the issue and are taking steps to update the application as soon as possible to ensure Twitter for Zune HD users are able to view tweets in their original state.”
As it turns out, “as soon as possible”, is now. So if you’ve installed the twitter app on your Zune HD, it is highly recommended to update it (if you care about this issue).

Today at 7.00 pm (UTC + 1, Central European Time) the much anticipated twitter app finally launched on the Zune Marketplace. basically this app allows you to post new tweets and read tweets of people you are following. It is available for download via your Zune Software, but can only be installed if you own a Zune HD.
Yesterday, the Zune Team tweeted that the Zune twitter app would be available the next morning. They didn’t say a word about when the facebook-app would be available, so we’ll have to wait a little it longer for that one.
