“Quote of the day” Episode I: Charlie Brooker’s take on Apple Fanbois

I don’t like Apple products. And the better-designed and more ubiquitous they become, the more I dislike them. I blame the customers. Awful people. Awful. Stop showing me your iPhone. Stop stroking your Macbook. Stop telling me to get one.

Seriously, stop it. I don’t care if Mac stuff is better. I don’t care if Mac stuff is cool.

Of course, it’s safe to assume Mac products are indeed as brilliant as their owners make out. Why else would they spend so much time trying to convert non-believers? They’re not getting paid. They simply want to spread their happiness, like religious crusaders.

I agree with Charlie Brooker his view on Apple fanbois and their need to show the world they own an Apple-product. Their stubbornness and belief it’s their faith to convince everybody to live the Apple-life is something that bothers me much. On every article written or video posted about Windows or Zune you’ll find a Mac evangelist – to use Brooker’s words – saying Apple products are superior and “Windows stinks” or something like that.
It their Apple products are so superior as they are trying to convince us about, why don’t they just spend some more time with their iGadgets and leave their irrelevant comments for themselves?
