Back in September 2009 Gizmodo had some big news. A tipster sent them pictures of two phones, the Turtle and the Pure. It was said that they were part of the long rumoured Project Pink (the codename for the successors of the Sidekick). The tipster also said to Gizmodo that the phone would be manufactured by Sharp.
Over at ZuneBoards they discovered that Sharp filed a ‘CDMA Slide Phone with WLAN & BT’ called PB10ZU at the FCC. The PB10ZU has dual-band CDMA, EVDO, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
The filing contained a picture that looks very similar to the Turtle phone and also mentions a second device with the model name PB20ZU (could be the Pure).
Engadget also cleverly notices that the details of the FCC filing are requested to be withheld until March 29th, which fits the rumour of a Spring launch for Windows Phone 7.
Microsoft is holding its presentation at MWC 2010 on Monday, so hopefully we’ll learn some more about this tomorrow.
